Making Puerto Rican coffee using a French Press

I'm demonstrating my favorite way to make my mocha latte. One step that is super important, let your coffee steep for about 3 to 5 minutes before pressing down on the presser. Enjoy! Feel free to send me your comments and videos!!!

The French Press dates back to the early 1800s. It is one of the most popular methods for brewing coffee. Most of us grew up seeing one in our homes whether it was used or not. There has been much controversy over who invented the French Press. Was it the French or Italian? Well, depending on who tells the story you may find an argument from both sides. Legend has it that a French man discovered it completely by accident while preparing a pot of coffee over an open fire. Regardless, of who discovered or designed the French Press I completely love this method. I use it daily for my morning cafecito!

La prensa francesa se remonta a principios de los 1800s. Es uno de los métodos más populares para la preparación de café. La mayoría de nosotros crecimos viendo una prensa francesa en nuestros hogares, ya sea que se usara o no. Ha habido mucha controversia sobre quién inventó la prensa francesa. ¿Fueron francés o italiano? Bueno, dependiendo de quién cuente la historia, se puede encontrar un argumento de ambos lados. Cuenta la leyenda que un hombre francés lo descubrió por completo accidentalmente mientras preparaba una olla de café sobre un fuego abierto. Independientemente de quién descubrió o diseñó la prensa francesa me encanta este método. Lo uso a diario para mi cafecito por las mañanas.
