This coffee wowed me from the moment I found it! The package is quite captivating with its color and artwork. Also, the name is intriguing. Escondido means “hidden.” I asked myself, where has this coffee been hiding all my life? Lol. I’ll start with the artwork. It has a one-eye monster caricature with a sky-blue color covering. The back label tells a short story about the farming origin and roaster. Escondido was my fifth tasting and the only coffee package with the roasted date (in ink) and best-brewed date on the label.
To me, as a consumer, it speaks volumes about the care and quality of this coffee. You can smell the freshness of the beans immediately when you open the package. The beans have a beautiful dark brown color. But the magic begins when the beans are freshly ground. It has an intense chocolatey and fruity aroma.
This coffee doesn’t disappoint! It was love at first sight and smell. It is the coffee experience I mentioned during my earlier blogs. The coffee that makes you want to stop and be selfish. All you want to do is cuddle that cup, bring it to your lips, and not be bothered for the rest of the day, LOL. This coffee is smooth and savory. It’s easy to drink black with sugar and, as my favorite drink, a café mocha latte.
If you have a favorite place to hide – take your café Escondido!
